Position Overview:

As a Verification and Validation Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing business outcomes by leveraging your comprehensive engineering expertise in software and hardware testing methodologies within a cutting-edge industry. Your contributions will influence every stage of the product development and deployment process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and execution of tests for new firmware, software, or hardware.
  • Oversee the validation process from both an engineering and client relationship perspective.
  • Shape the overall testing strategy by defining system test requirements.
  • Maintain proactive communication with the project team regarding validation progress.
  • Execute test scripts and provide recommendations for design or process improvements based on test outcomes.
  • Gather and analyze data from various testing formats.
  • Generate reports to ensure all critical components have undergone testing and validation.
  • Monitor and coordinate all validation activities to meet essential deliverables.
  • Conduct failure analysis to identify the root causes of reported issues.
  • Collaborate with design teams to troubleshoot problems.
  • Maintain documentation and procedures related to validation activities.
  • Ensure that product and process development efforts include necessary validation and supporting justifications.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision to carry out validation studies.
  • Utilize risk assessments to pinpoint critical validation areas and develop corresponding test scripts.
  • Identify opportunities for process enhancements and equipment requirements for validation/testing.
  • Exhibit strong project management skills and leadership capabilities.
  • Adapt to a dynamic and flexible work environment.

Qualifications:

Essential:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related scientific field.
  • Experience in reviewing internal requirements and industry standards documentation to support various testing phases.
  • Proficiency in authoring, editing, and executing validation documents.
  • Ability to interpret and analyze electrical schematics and mechanical drawings for system assembly and debugging.
  • Hands-on experience with electrical installations and modifications, including building electrical harnesses.

Key Success Factors:

  • Intermediate proficiency in WORD and EXCEL for technical document creation and editing.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, including technical proofreading and project communication.
  • Demonstrated project management and leadership abilities.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with all organizational levels and clients.
  • Creative mindset that encourages idea sharing and collaboration.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Capability to establish repeatable processes and procedures.

Desirable:

  • Experience in hardware or software validation.
  • Familiarity with electronic actuation systems and automotive-grade controllers in safety-critical applications.
  • Experience with multi-sensor technologies, including GNSS, IMU, Laser, LiDAR, RADAR, and ultrasonic systems.
  • Proficiency with Linux operating systems.
  • Experience using data acquisition tools.
  • Knowledge of CAN bus communication and diagnostics.
  • Exposure to MATLab Simulink for Hardware-in-the-Loop testing.
  • Familiarity with programming languages such as C++, Python, and CAPL.
  • Experience with project management tools.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
