Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Inventory Control Coordinator to join our dynamic team at Verona Collective. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in overseeing the inventory management processes within our retail operations. Your responsibilities will include executing weekly and monthly inventory audits, analyzing discrepancies, uploading transaction records, and ensuring the precise documentation of received merchandise in our dispensaries.


Key Responsibilities

  • Foster and maintain robust relationships with retail management and facility leadership teams.
  • Utilize advanced inventory management software, including Flowhub and Dispense, collaborating with the Inventory Control Manager to facilitate product receipt during deliveries.
  • Guarantee that all products in the dispensaries are accurately entered into Flowhub/Dispense and available for customer purchase.
  • Oversee the digital inventory management within Dispense for all dispensaries, ensuring that all products listed online are in stock, with updated images, descriptions, pricing, and promotional details.
  • Assist in coordinating the delivery of retail items from the Verona Collective cultivation facility, including non-cannabis products.
  • Conduct thorough analyses of inventory discrepancies for cannabis dispensaries, providing insights on slow-moving items, potential margin improvements, and growth opportunities.
  • Support the management of Flowhub POS attributes to ensure optimal product availability and pricing accuracy.
  • Collaborate with the Verona Collective retail team to develop and implement effective inventory systems at new dispensaries.
  • Participate in physical inventory audits of both cannabis and non-cannabis products, ensuring accurate counts and proper documentation of variances.
  • Work alongside retail leadership to identify inventory management opportunities and develop strategies to address any deficiencies, reporting findings directly to the Director of Retail Operations.
  • Implement corrective actions on invoicing and inventory discrepancies as necessary, obtaining approval from the Director of Retail Operations and/or Finance leadership.
  • Prepare and present inventory and sales reports to upper management and other departments.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in inventory management within a retail environment.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a retail setting, preferably within the cannabis industry.
  • An associate's degree or relevant college education is preferred.
  • Proficiency in inventory management systems, particularly those specific to the cannabis sector, is advantageous.
  • Willingness to work on-site at cannabis dispensaries and cultivation facilities as required.

Additional Requirements:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Basic accounting knowledge and strong proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and basic mathematical skills are essential.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, including operating various computer systems and software.
  • Capability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Availability to work weekends and holidays as needed.
