Join our team as a Retail Inventory Specialist at Verona Collective In this role, you will play a vital part in our retail enterprise by leading the weekly and monthly inventory processes, troubleshooting and analyzing inventory variances, uploading receipts, and ensuring accurate entry of received items into our dispensaries. You'll also be responsible for managing inventory through Flowhub and Dispense systems, making sure all products are available for sale with precise images, descriptions, pricing, and categorization. Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with retail leadership teams and grow facility leadership teams.
  • Expertly utilize inventory software for retail, including Flowhub and Dispense, and work with the Inventory Control Manager to facilitate product receipt during deliveries.
  • Ensure that all products at the dispensaries are loaded into Flowhub/Dispense and available for sale.
  • Own the Dispense digital inventory management for all dispensaries, including ensuring that all products listed online are available for sale, all product images and descriptions are updated and accurate, and all specials and discounts are documented accurately to guests.
  • Help coordinate retail item deliveries from the Verona Collective grow facility, including non-cannabis products for sale.
  • Analyze inventory variances for cannabis dispensaries and provide analytical details on slow-moving and aging products, potential margin opportunities, growth opportunities, etc.
  • Support managing Flowhub POS attributes in retail software to ensure appropriate product availability and pricing.
  • Work with the Verona Collective retail team to build and implement functioning inventory systems/platforms at new dispensaries.
  • Initiate and participate in physical inventory audits of cannabis and non-cannabis products at Verona Collective dispensaries, ensure accurate counts within the inventories, documentation, and appropriate reporting of variances.
  • Work with the Verona Collective retail leadership to identify inventory opportunities for implementing plans to address deficiencies, and report activities directly to the Director of Retail Operations.
  • Make corrective measures on invoicing and inventory activities as necessary and approve them by the Director of Retail Operations and/or Finance leadership.
  • Provide inventory and sales reports to upper management and other departments.

Requirements

  • Must have at least 1 year of experience in inventory management within a retail setting.
  • Must have at least 2 years of work experience in a retail environment, a cannabis retail setting is preferred.
  • Having an associate's degree or college education is preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience working with inventory systems, and cannabis-specific systems is preferred.
  • Ability to work on-site at cannabis dispensaries and the cannabis grow facility as needed and/or directed.

Additional Job Requirements:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Basic accounting knowledge and strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in written format.
  • Attention to detail and basic math skills are required.
  • Ability to multitask, including operating multiple computers and software systems.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work weekends and holidays.
