We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team as a Progressive Care Unit Assistant at North Mississippi Health Services. This role is a critical part of our nursing team, responsible for coordinating patient care activities and providing support to our nursing staff.
Key Responsibilities- Coordination of Patient Care: Effectively coordinate daily patient care activities on the nursing unit, ensuring seamless transitions and efficient care delivery.
- Support to Nursing Staff: Assist nursing staff in facilitating patient admissions, discharges, and transfers, as well as providing support with patient care activities.
- Clerical and Administrative Tasks: Perform a variety of office, secretarial, and other related duties to support the unit, including managing intake and outbound documents.
- Inventory Control: Order, stock, and replenish unit supplies and equipment in a cost-efficient manner, participating in budget preparation and ensuring the unit stays within budget restraints.
- Communication and Customer Service: Welcome visitors to the unit, answer phone calls, and direct inquiries to the appropriate department or staff member, providing polite and friendly interactions.
- Education: Associate's degree in Nursing or equivalent.
- Experience: 1-2 years of experience in a nursing role, preferably in a progressive care unit.
- Skills: Excellent communication and organizational skills, ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, and proficiency in electronic medical records and patient tracking systems.
