About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Epic Application Analyst to join our team at Jefferson Health. As a key member of our Health Information Management department, you will play a critical role in supporting the design and build of our Epic application.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the design and build of the Epic application, including workflow development, system configuration, and change documentation.
  • Assist in the coordination of end-user support activities and provide on-call support for the application through go-live.
  • Build and maintain EHR application content as assigned by department lead/manager, adhering to style guides, best practices, and guiding principles.
  • Participate in the Change Control process and ensure the migration of build or population of training pathways.
  • Represent the application in Integrated Work Groups and communicate back to the team.
  • Mentor Level I and II Analysts to ensure consistent application knowledge base.
Essential Functions
  • Execute Application Design and Build: Design and build the related application, working with Operations to optimize the design of the application's capabilities and workflows.
  • Application Support: Provide go-live support for users on new applications, including functionality, and represent the application in Integrated Area Workgroups.
  • Documentation and Communication: Maintain and close support tickets, log decisions and issues/risks in tracker, and support application governance needs.
  • Project Management: Recommend areas for process improvement, assist with development of future state materials, and follow the process for identification, tracking, resolution, and closure of all issues.
Qualifications
  • Preferred: Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of relevant work experience.
  • Minimum: Three (3) or more years of relevant work experience in a health care setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrated workflow process analysis and design, and familiarity with organization's practices of health information management and/or HIM coding.
Certifications
  • Minimum: Certified in four HIM applications and/or obtaining applicable certification will be an expectation of the role.
