About the Role

This position provides administrative support to a Senior Vice President, handling a wide range of tasks and responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to work independently and make sound judgments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to the Senior Vice President, including scheduling meetings, preparing reports, and handling correspondence.
  • Manage multiple projects and activities simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
  • Interpret requests and take appropriate action, evaluating the level of information and deciding when to notify the Senior Vice President.
  • Conserves the Senior Vice President's time by reading, researching, and routing correspondence, drafting letters and documents, and collecting and analyzing information.
  • Compose and sign correspondence on behalf of the Senior Vice President as needed.
  • Maintain the Senior Vice President's appointment schedule, planning and scheduling meetings, conferences, teleconferences, and travel plans.
  • Prepare reports, including conclusions and recommendations for the solution of operational and administrative problems.
  • May hire, train, conduct performance reviews, and direct the workflow for department staff.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in business, healthcare administration, or related field.
  • Four or more years of advanced administrative support experience at a progressively responsible level, including management of projects.
  • Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple projects and activities simultaneously.
  • Independent decision-making abilities, as well as considerable judgment and initiative to determine the approach or action to take in non-routine situations.
  • Ability to analyze non-routine administrative details of moderate complexity and provide for an acceptable resolution.
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills, as well as a high level of sophistication to effectively communicate and interact with senior executives, internal and external to the organization.
  • Ability to convey a professional image and effectively represent the Senior Vice President as appropriate in his/her relationship with external customers.
  • Advanced working knowledge of personal software packages to perform administrative functions.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous clerical supervision experience.
  • Additional related education and/or experience.
