QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE LEAD CONSTRUCTION COST ESTIMATOR

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience as a plumbing estimator within the construction sector
  • In-depth understanding of plumbing systems, materials, and installation methods
  • Capability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
  • Proficiency in estimating software, as well as Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Strong analytical and mathematical abilities
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Effective organizational and time management skills
  • Self-driven and able to work independently as well as collaboratively
  • Possession of a valid driver's license with a clean driving record

We are eager to hear from candidates with hands-on experience in HVAC or plumbing.

ROLE EXPECTATIONS

As a Lead Construction Cost Estimator, your typical work schedule will be Monday to Friday, 7:00 am to 4:00 pm, with occasional site visits and travel for networking opportunities.

Your responsibilities will include analyzing essential project documentation, creating precise estimates, and collaborating closely with engineers, stakeholders, and project managers to ensure successful project completion. Your primary focus will be on estimating plumbing projects for new construction and site utilities, ensuring that all costs related to labor, materials, and equipment are accurately accounted for. You will review plans, conduct site visits, and engage with clients to deliver the most comprehensive proposals possible.

Utilizing industry-standard estimating software, you will prepare detailed estimates and ensure that your proposals meet all quality standards and client specifications. To secure the best pricing, you will cultivate positive relationships with suppliers and subcontractors. You will maintain accurate estimation records, prepare management reports, conduct safety meetings, and continuously observe our estimating processes to develop new refinement strategies. Your ability to collaborate effectively with clients, subcontractors, and project managers will make you an invaluable asset to our team.
