Job Summary:

KBR is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team as a Design and Integration Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering electrical engineering solutions to support an integrated Directed Energy Weapon.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and integrate custom circuit boards to support discrete safety signals, communication/data interfaces, and power distribution systems.
  • Assist in the manufacturing, testing, and integration process of in-house designs as well as evaluation of COTS products to meet capability requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement electrical engineering solutions.
  • Develop and maintain electrical schematics, circuit diagrams, and other technical documentation.
  • Evaluate and recommend commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) parts for compliance with project requirements.
  • Develop and implement software solutions using C, C++, and Python programming languages.
  • Design and test power distribution systems to meet MIL-STDs.
  • Develop and maintain cable/harness drawings and other technical documentation.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Ability to obtain and/or maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance.
  • Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles, including computer, microelectronics, signal processing, and power distribution.
  • Experience with printed circuit design and analog/digital application, Altium / Autodesk Eagle preferred.
  • Experience researching, developing, designing, and testing circuits, components, and equipment systems.
  • Experience evaluating COTS parts for compliance.
  • Experience with software development, C, C++, Python preferred.
  • Experience with power distribution systems.
  • Understanding of designing and testing to meet MIL-STDs.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.
  • Relevant hands-on experience is highly preferred (design/build).
  • Ability to travel 10-25%.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
