Position Overview

The Kids Stuff Team Member plays a crucial role in the daily management of the Kids Stuff section, ensuring the safety, health, and overall well-being of children in our care. This position reports directly to the Kids Stuff Manager.

Compensation: $12.00 per hour.

Work Schedule: Must be available for weekend shifts from 8:30 AM to 2:30 PM and weekday shifts from 8:30 AM to 1:30 PM or 3:00 PM to 7:45 PM. The average schedule consists of five shifts per week, each lasting four hours.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide attentive care for children of members and guests, adhering to the Kids Stuff Operating Guidelines.
  2. Lead and facilitate activities that promote the development of children, tailored to their individual and group needs.
  3. Uphold and enforce the rules and regulations of the Kids Stuff area.
  4. Manage check-in and check-out procedures, maintaining accurate attendance records.
  5. Encourage and model healthy hygiene practices among children.
  6. Follow established protocols for hand washing, toy sanitization, and diaper changing.
  7. Ensure that childcare areas are clean, organized, and disinfected as necessary.
  8. Communicate with parents about their children's activity choices during their time in Kids Stuff.
  9. Report any equipment that requires maintenance or repair.
  10. Maintain knowledge of and promote other Kids Stuff programs.
  11. Collaborate effectively with team members and assist with additional projects as directed by the Kids Stuff Manager and Team Leader.
  12. Participate in mandatory staff meetings.
  13. Present a professional appearance by adhering to the Genesis uniform policy and wearing a name badge.
  14. Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  1. High School diploma or GED equivalent, or relevant work experience.
  2. Certification in First Aid and CPR is required; in-house training will be provided for those without certification.
  3. Availability to work weekends and holidays is essential.
  4. Understanding of child development principles and effective experience working with children.
  5. Physical capability to lift, carry, bend, crouch, kneel, stand for extended periods, and easily transition from sitting to standing.
  6. Experience in customer service, particularly in high-pressure situations.
  7. Flexibility for part-time work is necessary.
  8. Ability to interact courteously with the public.
  9. Physical requirements include bending, stooping, climbing, standing, sitting, and lifting up to 40 lbs; proficiency in basic office tasks such as typing and filing; and the ability to see, hear, and communicate effectively.
