Position Overview:

The Program Coordinator is tasked with ensuring that our Before & After School initiatives adhere to all established guidelines. This role requires effective supervision of staff and maintaining robust communication with school administrators and area managers. The Program Coordinator will be responsible for planning and organizing structured programs that include educational and recreational activities tailored to various age groups. This position demands exemplary role model qualities in all interactions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver exceptional service to students, families, colleagues, and school administration.
  • Maintain precise records related to billing, attendance, and health and safety protocols.
  • Oversee and mentor staff to guarantee adequate supervision of children and the successful execution of scheduled activities.
  • Address the physical, emotional, and educational needs of the children in care.
  • Foster a collaborative team environment and build healthy, cooperative relationships.
  • Ensure adherence to district policies, state regulations, and educational standards.
  • Act as the primary liaison for parents, administration, and students.
  • Exemplify positive behavior and guide children towards mature and responsible conduct.

Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of experience working with children.
  • Minimum of six months in a supervisory role.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Successful completion of a Criminal Background Screening.
  • Successful completion of a Drug Screening.
  • High School Diploma required.
  • Completion of 45 Hours of DCF Child Care Training.

Skills Required:

  • Strong verbal, listening, and written communication skills in English are essential.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is advantageous.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both children and school administration.
  • Proficient in problem-solving and critical thinking in daily situations.

Job Type: Full-time
