Job Summary

The Patient Safety Specialist I role is a critical position within MaineHealth, responsible for monitoring and responding to patient safety events and risk management concerns. This individual will play a key role in promoting a culture of safety across the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and respond to patient safety events and risk management concerns
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to identify and implement safety improvements
  • Develop and maintain policies and procedures related to patient safety
  • Provide education and training to staff on patient safety best practices
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Five years of relevant experience in healthcare or a related field
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
