Job Title: Community Partnerships Coordinator

Denver Botanic Gardens is seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our Marketing & Social Responsibility Department as a Community Partnerships Coordinator. This role is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing key programs and initiatives that enhance access to the Garden and foster strong community relationships.

Job Summary

The Community Partnerships Coordinator will be responsible for:

  • Scheduling, managing, and coordinating the logistics of the Go2Gardens shuttle program, including on-site and off-site programs and events.
  • Collecting and analyzing feedback, stories, and testimonials from community members and stakeholders.
  • Conducting research to identify community needs and opportunities, and tracking metrics to measure the impact of engagement initiatives.
  • Overseeing the staff Engagement Committee and coordinating IDEA (Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Accessibility) initiatives.
  • Working collaboratively with the Engagement and Outreach Coordinator to plan, execute, and evaluate internal and external events.
  • Maintaining the community partner database and handling administrative tasks like budgeting and managing the community relations inbox.
  • Working collaboratively with other departments to build cross-disciplinary programming that addresses multiple audiences.
  • Engaging with key stakeholders, including board members, donors, and community leaders, to strengthen and support partnerships.
  • Working with partners to secure resources such as funding, in-kind donations, volunteers, and other support that benefits Denver Botanic Gardens.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Excellent customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills in dealing with the public.
  • The ability to maintain stability under pressure and deal well with stressful situations.
  • The ability to be flexible and willing to modify plans, when necessary, throughout the day.
  • The ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Suite products, specifically Word, Excel, and Outlook, and Teams.
  • The ability to work overtime as necessary.
  • A positive and respectful attitude towards colleagues and the public.

Experience and Education

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • A Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, event planning, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in customer service, event planning, or a related field.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English/Spanish is highly desirable.
  • A proven track record of working effectively with diverse audiences, spanning from young children to senior adults.
