Key Responsibilities- Prevention and Evaluation: Support the medical needs for all 22 intercollegiate NCAA Division III sports and 2 Division I sports (men's and women's ice hockey) by implementing injury prevention strategies and conducting thorough evaluations of athlete injuries and illnesses.
- Treatment and Management: Provide prompt and effective treatment for athlete injuries and illnesses, and develop and implement management plans to ensure optimal recovery and return to play.
- Rehabilitation and Education: Design and implement rehabilitation programs to aid in the recovery of injured athletes, and educate student-athletes on injury prevention and management techniques.
- Communication and Collaboration: Maintain open and effective communication with team physicians, coaches, and other athletic staff to ensure seamless coordination of medical care and support.
- Compliance and Professional Development: Adhere to NCAA bylaws and policies, maintain NATA-BOC certification, and participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in athletic training.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Certifications: NATA-BOC certification and New York State licensure (or eligibility to obtain within 30 days of employment).
- Skills: Strong organizational and communication skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and proficiency in software and enterprise systems.
