Business Development Manager - Certification Services

Intertek is seeking a Business Development Manager - Certification Services to join our Building & Construction team in West Palm Beach, FL, US. This role will be responsible for cultivating and mining relationships to sell, cross-sell, and grow our services to new and existing customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Cultivate and mine relationships with key decision-makers to sell, cross-sell, and grow our services to new and existing customers.
  • Oversee, manage, and provide client development leadership for North America and possibly other regions.
  • Track and report key market information, facilitate strategy BD meetings, motivate and train others, and manage key client relationships and professional organization membership and networking.
  • Work with local and regional operations to build client base with a focus on growth of our overall certification and customer satisfaction.
  • Direct and manage overall Business Development and Sales process, including client and project pursuits, RFPs, proposals, key wins and losses, industry activities, and other general BD/marketing/Sales responsibilities.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience, higher-level degree preferred.
  • Experienced Outside Sales, Business Development, or Technical Sales professional with a proven track record of 5+ years' direct experience in construction materials testing, inspections, and certification.
  • Experienced and proficient in presenting and selling to manufacturers, industry associations, Authorities having jurisdictions, engineers, architects, and other construction industry professionals.
  • Experience with accounts in the North America market preferred.
  • Comfortable driving growth through accountability measured against sales quotas.
