Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Associate Buyer to join our fast-paced buying and merchandising department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for analyzing sales, inventory levels, purchase orders, trends, and profitability to make informed decisions and drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide data-driven insights to Buyers to maximize the effectiveness of reporting and drive business results.
  • Manage individual performance plans and provide guidance to merchandisers to ensure knowledge, accuracy, efficiency, and sound judgment.
  • Analyze sales, orders, inventory, and trends to make accurate and efficient buying and allocation decisions that maximize profitability.
  • Collaborate with Buyers to manage product performance and achieve financial goals.
  • Write purchase orders and review replenishment by store to ensure optimal inventory levels.
  • Develop strong relationships with colleagues and vendors to drive business growth.
  • Stay up-to-date with market trends and competitor activity to inform business decisions.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Fashion, Apparel Merchandising, or a related field.
  • Minimum of two years of direct-related retail buying or retail management experience.
  • High degree of proficiency in MS Excel, Outlook, and Internet applications.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, organizational, interpersonal, and math skills.
  • Strong, professional, and effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to foster a positive and motivating work environment, encourage feedback, and innovation.
  • Self-motivated with critical attention to detail and deadlines.
  • Ability to adapt well to change in direction and priority in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.
