Job Overview:


The Hotel Operations Coordinator will be tasked with overseeing operational functions and guiding team members in their duties at the hotel, reporting directly to the General Manager or designated Hotel Leadership.

This position is crucial for ensuring guest satisfaction and smooth hotel operations by supporting various back-of-house departments.

The Hotel Operations Coordinator may assist in several areas within the property, including:
Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Front Office, and Banquets (as applicable by hotel). Additional responsibilities may be assigned based on business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Qualifications:
A minimum of 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in the hospitality industry or a related field is required. A High School diploma or equivalent is mandatory.

Must possess a valid driver's license for the applicable state.

Ability to communicate information and ideas effectively is essential.

Must demonstrate quick and accurate decision-making skills when evaluating and selecting among various options.


Ability to perform well in high-pressure situations, including effectively managing guest complaints and objections to satisfactory resolutions.


Must exhibit initiative in job performance, anticipating tasks before they become necessary.

Maintain composure and objectivity in stressful situations.

Must be adept at identifying, preventing, and resolving workplace issues as they arise.

Ability to assimilate complex information from various sources and adapt it to meet specific needs is crucial.

Must excel in listening, understanding, and clarifying concerns raised by colleagues and guests.

Must be comfortable working with financial data and performing basic arithmetic functions.

Job Duties:
Approach all interactions with guests and team members in a courteous, service-oriented manner.


Maintain consistent attendance in accordance with company standards, which may vary based on hotel needs.

Uphold high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including wearing the designated uniform and name tag while on duty.

Maintain a welcoming and friendly demeanor at all times.

Adhere to company policies and regulations to promote safe and efficient hotel operations.


Foster effective communication and teamwork among colleagues and across departments (set an example for fellow associates and be a team leader).

Monitor all VIP and special guest requests and be familiar with all in-house groups.

Fully understand and execute all relevant aspects of the front desk computer system and checklist.

Be knowledgeable about the Property Management System (P.M.S.) utilized in the hotel.

Oversee and follow up on cash discrepancies among servers/baristas/bartenders (as applicable by hotel).

Enforce all company policies and procedures.

Ensure that employees are consistently attentive, friendly, helpful, and courteous to guests, fellow employees, and management.


Assist in the preparation of staff schedules based on business forecasts while adhering to wage control, productivity standards, and guest service scores.


Support the food and beverage department, front desk operations, and housekeeping department based on volume and necessity (as applicable by hotel).

Assist in training new hires and current associates regularly.

Support the Front Office Manager in ensuring compliance with company standards (i.e., answering phones, guest request logs).


Be familiar with emergency protocols and be prepared to respond to emergency situations by knowing the locations of fire extinguishers and exits.

Assist in monthly inventory counts and reconciliations.


Promptly address accidents, issues, or guest complaints in the food and beverage department and front desk.

Respond to all guest inquiries in a timely and professional manner.

Help maintain productivity levels at or above budgeted standards.

Perform additional duties and/or attend meetings or training sessions as required by management.
