Hotel General Manager Opportunity

The Crescent Hotels Group is seeking a seasoned Hotel General Manager to lead our team at a vibrant property in Santa Monica. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining a customer-driven hotel with a member-keeping vision that inspires our associates to excel.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in hotel management, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction, quality, and profitability. You will oversee the quality process to ensure consistent delivery of both product quality and service in accordance with our hotel's goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform administrative duties, including reading and writing reports, dictating memorandums, and communicating with guests, managers, and corporate office.
  • Supervise department managers in the efficient operation of their respective areas, meet with them to develop and delegate improvement plans, and review their performance.
  • Recommend performance evaluations, resolve problems, provide open communication, and approve discipline and terminations.
  • Participate in community affairs, maintain a positive public image for Crescent and the hotel, and meet with potential and current clients to promote the hotel.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with staff, both verbally and in writing, and physically tour and visually inspect the property on a daily basis.
Requirements:
  • Two to five years' experience as a hotel General Manager is required.
  • Working knowledge of financial and accounting procedures is required.
  • Prior general knowledge of California labor and employment law is required.
  • Experience leading in a union environment is required.
  • Hilton hotel experience is highly desired.
