Job Title: General Manager - Residence Inn Santa Fe

About the Role:

The General Manager is responsible for leading the hotel team to deliver exceptional guest experiences, drive revenue growth, and maintain high standards of quality and service. This is a key leadership role that requires a strong understanding of hotel operations, a passion for delivering exceptional customer service, and the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the hotel team to deliver exceptional guest experiences and drive revenue growth.
  • Develop and implement business plans to maximize guest satisfaction, profitability, and market share.
  • Ensure compliance with brand standards and company policies.
  • Manage labor costs, operating expenses, and revenue to achieve budgeted targets.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including guests, employees, and local business partners.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure high standards of quality and service.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements and cost savings.
  • Develop and implement training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
  • Manage employee relations, including recruitment, selection, and performance management.
  • Ensure compliance with all labor laws and regulations.

Requirements:

  • Minimum three years' experience as an Assistant General Manager, Operations Manager, Front Office Manager, or Department Manager in a full or select service hotel.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
  • Proficiency in computers to include Microsoft Word, Excel, and other hotel operating systems.
  • Proven record of success with Quality Assurance reviews and Guest Satisfaction.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Time management and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in managing to a performance plan (budget/forecast).
  • Demonstrated proficiency reading and understanding profit and loss statements.
  • Thorough understanding of total hotel operations.
