About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Vice President of Development to lead our Metro Atlanta market. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving aggressive growth in unrestricted revenue through building a dynamic development team and volunteer leadership talent and capabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work alongside the Senior Vice President to develop and execute strategic plans for donor relationships, mid to large company prospecting, and sales processes.
  • Build and manage a high-performing development team to achieve financial targets and drive new business development.
  • Operationalize the vision, manage staff, and implement strategic priorities, volunteer and employee engagement plans.
  • Drive new business development and grow the number of new partnerships supporting the work of the American Heart Association.
  • Foster a professional work environment that promotes collaboration, trust, teamwork, empowerment, professionalism, and diversity.
Requirements
  • 5 years of relevant experience in fundraising, sales, or equivalent type experience.
  • 5 years in building effective teams of staff and volunteers preferred.
  • Demonstrated track record of setting, achieving, and exceeding aggressive goals on a sustainable basis.
  • Demonstrated track record of influencing others to action through communicating a shared vision.
