Building Performance Engineer

Gulfstream SP is seeking a highly skilled Building Performance Engineer to join our team in Seattle, WA. As a key member of our innovative team, you will play a crucial role in advancing our commitment to creating more sustainable, efficient, and high-performing buildings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and refine HVAC control sequences to optimize building performance and energy efficiency.
  • Execute field commissioning and monitoring-based commissioning for new and existing buildings.
  • Analyze building operation and utility data to identify energy conservation opportunities.
  • Conduct energy assessments and audits, leading to EnergyStar certifications and other recognitions.
  • Develop and implement energy-saving projects, utilizing precise measurement and verification techniques.
  • Implement and interpret results from fault detection and diagnostics software to enhance building operations.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Energy Management, or a closely related field.
  • Strong experience with ASHRAE guidelines, energy modeling, and building mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Proficiency in computer programming for building simulations and data visualization tools.
  • Exceptional analytical skills and ability to troubleshoot complex building system issues.
  • Ability to work autonomously and efficiently manage multiple projects with varying timelines.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Professional certifications such as Certified Energy Manager (CEM) or Professional Engineer (PE).
  • Deep understanding of Direct Digital Controls (DDC) theory and advanced energy management strategies.
