About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Building Performance Analyst to join our team at McKinstry Company. As a key member of our Zero+ Planning group, you will play a critical role in helping us achieve our mission to build a thriving planet.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze and report on existing building energy performance, including benchmarking, weather regression, and other forms of savings tracking.
  • Work with multi-disciplinary project teams to establish project goals and help the team achieve those goals.
  • Develop energy efficiency and carbon reduction measures at the building, portfolio, and district level.
  • Perform whole building energy modeling via software such as IES VE for new construction and existing buildings.
  • Communicate complex technical topics to non-technical audiences via graphical reporting and dynamic data visualization tools.
Requirements
  • BA/BS degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or equivalent field of study or equivalent work experience required.
  • Five (5) years of experience in engineering design or related field is preferred.
  • BEMP or other professional credential (e.g., LEED-AP, WELL-AP, LFA, CEM, CPHC, etc.) preferred.
  • EIT or PE credential preferred.
  • Proficiency in interpersonal verbal and written communication required.
  • Experience with whole building energy modeling software such as IES VE or EnergyPlus required.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Excel, including use of Pivot Tables and/or Macros required.

The pay range for this position is $75,420 - $118,200 per year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A bonus may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.

McKinstry is a drug-free workplace. Employment is contingent upon successfully passing a pre-employment drug and alcohol test.
