Position Overview

As an Electrical Quality Assurance Engineer at Apple, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the excellence of our products. This position requires a blend of technical expertise and strong program management skills to collaborate effectively with various teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage in new product launches, ensuring the highest standards of technical quality.
  • Lead initiatives aimed at enhancing future designs through rigorous testing and validation processes.
  • Conduct thorough debugging and failure analysis in collaboration with design and engineering teams.
  • Oversee all program-related communications with senior management, highlighting risks and proposing solutions.
  • Commit to delivering results under tight deadlines while maintaining quality standards.
  • Facilitate quality improvement initiatives to enhance product performance in the field.
  • Participate in field failure analysis and contribute to reducing defect rates.
  • Drive systemic yield improvements and maintain comprehensive reporting.
  • Implement 8D problem-solving methodologies based on insights from new product introductions and ongoing issues.
  • Analyze and interpret data effectively to inform decision-making processes.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in electrical design, testing, and integration of electronic systems, preferably in consumer electronics.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency with design and schematic tools.
  • Familiarity with electronic testing strategies, including In-Circuit Testing and functional assessments.
  • Proven track record in managing complex cross-functional projects with excellence.
  • Strong skills in failure analysis and corrective action implementation.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with a methodical approach to problem-solving.
  • Experience in system manufacturing and transitioning new products into production.
  • Ability to utilize various data analysis tools to derive actionable insights.
