The Bluetooth Quality Assurance team is in search of a driven Tools & Automation Engineer to conceptualize, execute, evaluate, and sustain next-generation macOS connectivity solutions.

You will play a pivotal role in delivering transformative experiences on the latest Apple devices.
Responsibilities:

  • Develop innovative solutions for testing both current and future products.
  • Ensure quality and advocate for bug resolutions, collaborating closely with the development team to analyze root causes of issues.
  • Create detailed test plans for new features, considering both technical specifications and user experience.
  • Write and maintain test automation scripts using Python, keeping track of all automation challenges and test outcomes.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and implement automation feature requests.
  • Set up, conduct regular maintenance, and troubleshoot test environments and scripts.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Strong grasp of development methodologies and object-oriented programming principles.
Experience in establishing automation frameworks for testing embedded devices across various mobile operating systems.

Preferred Domain Expertise:
Bluetooth, WiFi, Audio, Wireless RF protocols.
Familiarity with hardware communication interfaces such as USB, UART, PCIe.
Experience with version control systems (Git, GitHub Flow, GitLab, SVN, Perforce). Knowledge of Continuous Integration tools like Jenkins is advantageous.
Experience in building and utilizing robotics for automated solutions.
Preferred Qualifications:
Highly motivated, dedicated, and quick to learn, with a proven ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Demonstrated success in creating robust test plans and achieving high-quality results.
Experience in designing and developing scalable automation frameworks following industry best practices.

Detail-oriented with a focus on aspects that matter to our customers.

Compensation & Benefits:
At Apple, base pay is one component of our total compensation package, determined within a range. This allows for growth as you advance in your role.

The base pay range for this position is between $136,300 and $248,700, depending on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Apple employees can also participate in discretionary employee stock programs.

Employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards and can purchase Apple stock at a discount through the Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
