Rutland Regional Medical Center seeks a skilled Biomedical Equipment Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, configuring, inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, calibrating, and performing preventive maintenance on clinical equipment and associated systems used in hospital or clinical settings.

We are looking for an individual with strong technical skills, particularly in electronics and biomedical technology. Your experience working with electronic equipment, including troubleshooting and repair, is essential to ensuring the efficient operation of our clinical devices.

In addition to your technical expertise, you must possess excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clinical staff, provide documentation of work performed, and assist with the proper use of clinical equipment.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Associates Degree in Electronics or Biomedical Technology, or equivalent experience
  • Biomedical, human anatomy and physiology coursework preferred
Work Experience:
  • 6 months experience installing, configuring, testing, calibrating, maintaining, troubleshooting and servicing a wide variety of electronic equipment required
  • Experience with hospital clinical equipment preferred
  • Experience installing, troubleshooting and repairing computer networks
Required Licenses/Certifications:
  • Valid Driver's License required
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
  • Medical, anatomy and physiology terminology
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to read, interpret and trace circuits on a schematic diagram
  • Effective troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to perform scheduled and on-demand preventive maintenance
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft desktop applications (Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint)

The estimated salary range for this position is $24.73 - $36.56 per hour.
