Rutland Regional Medical Center seeks an experienced Procurement Specialist to join its team.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for planning, organizing, and facilitating the procurement of capital budget equipment and projects, medical/surgical & general supplies, service contracts, and non-stock purchases for their assigned departments.
Key responsibilities include competitive bidding and negotiation, supplier selection and management, product evaluation and standardization (Value Analysis), adherence to local, state, and Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) laws.
Requirements- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Four years prior experience in purchasing coupled with working knowledge of supply chain management principles.
- Proven experience with supplier negotiations, selection, management and financial analysis.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Strong computer skills with proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and Internet Explorer.
- Strong knowledge of Value Analysis process.
- Working knowledge of healthcare supplies and equipment desirable.
- Demonstrated strong knowledge of basic computer skills.
The annual salary range for this role is $50,000.00 - $75,000.00, reflecting the importance of this position in ensuring the smooth operation of our procurement functions.
