Essential Qualifications:
+ High school diploma required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Animal Science preferred. + Licensed Animal Care Technician or equivalent experience strongly preferred but not mandatory. + General knowledge of animal behavior, husbandry, and care is essential, with equine experience required. + Proven knowledge and experience in safely implementing animal husbandry best practices for all species residing at the Sanctuary. + Basic maintenance skills and the ability to troubleshoot property issues before they escalate. + Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful or emergency situations. + Effectively prioritize workload and needs. + Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse range of individuals. + Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. + Maintain a professional demeanor at all times. + Handle confidential information with discretion. + Use sound judgment; able to problem-solve quickly and independently. + Ability to collaborate effectively and work as part of a team. + Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Outlook for email and scheduling, and Excel for record-keeping.
