Opportunity:

This is a challenging role that requires a strong understanding of software development life cycles, agile methodologies, and DevOps practices.

As a Senior Automation Test Engineer, you will work on large and complex programmes with wide ranging technologies that tackle some of the biggest national security challenges.

You will be responsible for delivering high-quality automated test solutions, defining and executing test activities, and identifying testing solutions to reduce software time-to-market.

Our team is looking for a skilled professional with a passion for quality, mentoring, and community building.

You will be joining a highly Agile, multi-disciplinary team working in DevOps practices and tools to deliver high-quality software.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver Test capability, automated solutions, to support mission critical solutions
  • Define and execute test activities either independently or within a team
  • Identify Testing solutions, specifically automated solutions, to reduce software time-to-market
  • Translate business and technical requirements into comprehensive testable scenarios

Requirements:

  • Solid experience of the SDLC, agile methodologies/principles and dev-ops tools/techniques
  • Track record for delivering quality Automated Test solutions in a fast-paced dynamic Engineering environment
  • Excellent problem-solving, interpersonal, analytical, planning and written/verbal communication skills and an aptitude to learn new technologies quickly
  • Self-motivated and able to inspire others in test best practice, focused on Quality outcomes
  • Experience of working with Test Automation tools/frameworks for varying application layers, utilising techniques such as TDD, BDD, CI/CD
  • Degree level qualification or equivalent experience
  • ISTQB Certified

You must already hold the highest level of UK Government security clearance (DV).
