Job Summary

Washington University in St. Louis seeks a highly skilled Strategic Arts Officer to join its University Advancement team. This key role will play a crucial part in developing and implementing donor strategies and proposals to support the university's mission.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of key priorities for Arts and Sciences and the aligned university priorities.
  • Maintain a list of top prospects for Arts and Sciences and develop annual goals for the unit.
  • Manage campaign initiatives and gift tables, ensuring effective school and program-based strategies for Arts and Sciences.
  • Prepare and staff leadership for donor meetings and events, both locally and out of town.
  • Oversee engagement strategy for assigned boards and committees, ensuring alignment with university priorities.
  • Support relationships across University Advancement for Arts and Sciences, driving accountability with gift officers for agreed-upon deliverables and successful proposal closure.
  • Work with the team to implement annual operational plans, including events calendars, communication calendars, and OKRs.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
  • Two years of related experience, with a strong understanding of fundraising principles and excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to think strategically and analytically, with a proven track record of implementing effective solutions.
  • Excellent active listening skills and ability to work collaboratively with diverse constituencies within a complex organization.

  • Competitive salary range: $65,000 - $112,700 per annum.
