Position Overview:

We are looking for a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to enhance the operational efficiency of our production processes. This role is critical in leveraging your industrial engineering expertise to optimize manufacturing workflows and drive continuous improvement initiatives. You will be instrumental in refining production operations and supporting various assembly and testing activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement innovative technical solutions within a manufacturing setting.
  • Collaborate with design engineers to integrate enhancements that improve manufacturability.
  • Create tools that support manufacturing processes, enhance safety, and promote efficiency.
  • Lead initiatives to advance new methodologies, techniques, and industry standards.
  • Conduct cross-functional studies focused on cost reduction and inventory management using Lean principles.
  • Optimize operational sequencing to maximize facility and personnel utilization.
  • Prepare cost estimates for projects and assess cost factors to aid in decision-making.
  • Design layouts for manufacturing facilities to enhance operational performance.
  • Utilize data analysis to solve complex challenges and develop innovative solutions.
  • Review product designs for manufacturability, providing insights to improve design efficiency.
  • Innovate and refine assembly processes to enhance productivity.
  • Research emerging technologies and processes, recommending necessary acquisitions.
  • Manage medium-complexity projects from inception to completion.
  • Validate cost requirements against business objectives and program expectations.
  • Estimate project timelines and costs, assisting in proposal preparations.
  • Implement strategies for continuous improvement across engineering disciplines.
  • Adapt responsibilities as needed to align with organizational changes.

Required Qualifications:

  • A University Degree and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field, or 6 years of relevant experience in the absence of a degree.
  • U.S. citizenship is required for access to information under this program.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering.
  • Experience in manufacturing environments.
  • Proficiency in Lean/Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Strong background in Root Cause Analysis.
  • Familiarity with SAP systems and CAD software.
  • Proven track record of driving continuous improvement in manufacturing operations.
