About the Role: This position is situated within the Technology Sustainment team and requires onsite presence. At IDT, we operate as one cohesive unit, celebrating our diversity, engaging in constructive discussions, and promoting inclusivity. Together, we achieve remarkable outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Examine and diagnose intricate systems, assess benchmarks, and enhance the performance of engineered systems and apparatus.
  • Initiate and complete logs, reports, and necessary documentation for equipment assembly, testing, and validation.
  • Participate in requirement gathering and maintenance of custom biology manufacturing apparatus, including liquid handling systems, chemical processing setups, robotic and other automated workstations.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.
Essential Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering with 0-2 years of experience OR Technical Degree with 2+ years of relevant experience.
  • Comprehension of electrical components and fundamental circuit troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with foundational design documentation, such as electrical schematics, P&ID's, and I/O lists.
  • Desire to learn about control panel design, software development, and safety standards related to electrical and mechanical systems involved in the manufacturing of custom oligonucleotides.
  • Capability to independently troubleshoot electro-mechanical equipment and instrumentation.
Preferred Experience:
  • Experience with HMI design and troubleshooting, preferably with Beckhoff.
  • Background in rapid prototyping.
  • Experience with 3D modeling, preferably using Solid Edge.
