About the Role:

The Executive Sous Chef will provide exceptional culinary leadership and expertise to deliver an outstanding dining experience for our guests at Spanish Peaks Mountain Club. This is a key role in our culinary team, responsible for overseeing the kitchen operations, menu development, and staff management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic vision for the hotel's culinary program, in collaboration with our culinary partners.
  • Manage kitchen operations, including training, supervision, and scheduling of kitchen staff.
  • Ensure high-quality food preparation, presentation, and service standards.
  • Assist in menu development, menu engineering, and standardized recipe implementation.
  • Manage food and labor costs, and assist with departmental initiatives as needed.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of culinary operations and management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong problem-solving and leadership abilities, with a focus on delivering exceptional guest experiences.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on quality and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a similar hospitality company, with a strong understanding of culinary operations and management.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry heavy trays and equipment, as well as delicate china and glassware.
  • Ability to walk without assistance on various surfaces for an extended period of time.

Compensation:

The pay scale for this role is $105,000 to $115,000, exclusive of incentive pay and benefits.
