Responsibilities
- Manage all kitchen operations, including food preparation, production, and staff management.
- Ensure efficient and cost-effective food production, maintaining high standards of quality and presentation.
- Supervise and inspect kitchen equipment to ensure cleanliness, sanitation, and optimal performance.
- Assume the role of Executive Chef in the absence of the incumbent.
- Ensure adherence to food quality, preparation, and presentation standards, in accordance with company specifications.
- Monitor holding and storage operations, stocking, and food rotation, guaranteeing food service sanitation standards are met.
- Train kitchen personnel in best cleanliness and sanitation practices.
Qualifications
- High school or equivalent education required; formal culinary training or associate degree in culinary arts preferred.
- Minimum 2-5 years of cooking experience in a fine dining environment, with experience in a culinary leadership role preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with managers, kitchen staff, and guests.
- Safe Food Handling Certification.
- Ability to work long hours in a fast-paced kitchen environment, with physical stamina to perform tasks such as bending, standing, and stooping.
- Mathematical skills to calculate figures and amounts, meeting business needs.
