Role Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced professional to lead our electrical engineering team focused on avionics for rocket engines. This role is crucial in shaping the future of space exploration and ensuring the safety and reliability of our space vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:
As the Electrical Design Manager, you will oversee the lifecycle management of engineering personnel, including performance evaluations, career development, and training initiatives. Your primary focus will be on:

  • Directing electrical design efforts for the BE-4, BE-3U, and BE-PM engine controllers.
  • Developing robust electronic circuits and printed circuit boards, ensuring high reliability throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Leading the design of analog instrumentation and mixed-signal systems that interface with various sensors and actuators.
  • Participating in program-level technology advancements and enhancing avionics development processes.

Qualifications:
We are looking for candidates who possess:

  • A minimum of a B.S. degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, aerospace engineering, or a related discipline, along with 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Proven experience in managing and mentoring engineers.
  • Hands-on expertise in analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuit design, including testing and debugging.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to foster a collaborative work environment.

Desired Skills:
Preferred candidates will have:

  • A solid background in aerospace hardware and software development.
  • Expertise in electronic avionics development, particularly with DO-254 methodologies.
  • Experience with high-reliability, safety-critical systems.
  • Familiarity with design tools such as Cadence OrCAD, Allegro, or Altium.
