Position Summary:

The Director of Marketing, Endoscopy Systems & Portfolio Solutions will lead the downstream marketing management activities and team responsible for Ambu's Endoscopy Displays and Peripherals franchise, along with cross-portfolio Marketing Programs support.

This role requires a highly organized, commercially driven leader with team building/developing skills applied with strategic-thinking and analytical approaches in marketing management and execution.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
  1. Lead US market marketing efforts in Displays and Peripherals, along with other cross-franchise portfolio elements, including sustainability, infection prevention, and service programs.
  2. Build, organize, develop, and manage the marketing management team for Ambu USA Displays and Peripherals Franchise, and cross-portfolio marketing programs through close collaboration with medical segment (e.g. Urology, Pulmonology) commercial leaders in marketing and sales.
  3. Oversee the development and execution of marketing management activities; product launches, segment budgets, and annual strategic marketing plans in franchise areas and contribute as needed to the day-to-day performance - including brand awareness and equity in North America.
  4. Establish customer-centric field-based collaboration between Sales, Field Engineering, Corporate Accounts, and Finance for the development of new Displays marketing programs and launches.
  5. Continuously monitor and report on portfolio and team performance - including financial performance, key objective achievements, competitive landscape, and KPIs - and provide monthly/quarterly business reviews and insights to the Vice President of Marketing.
  6. Lead key cross-functional projects in building best practices in the product marketing management team.
  7. Summarize, qualify, synthesize, and review the marketing management tasks - such as ensuring business intelligence, product positioning/pricing, ongoing trends, promotional campaigns, sales support and tools, market opportunities, and business case/planning are managed, reported, and continuously improving by the marketing management team.
  8. Oversee the market communication plan and goals for product areas.
  9. Oversee Ambu's brand and ensure Ambu brand consistency in programs and Marketing communications, including trade shows and digital.
  10. Ensure highly collaborative KOL/consultant relationships and advisory boards are utilized productively and to the growth of the business line.
  11. Provide leadership/communication on business line and product performance inputs to Global Teams on North American market needs, requirements, and long term planning aspects.
  12. Lead team in sales support tools targeting all key stakeholders for the product area.
  13. Collaborate with sales management and other department management to ensure Marketing strategies and programs are effective and are communicated as needed.
  14. Oversee collaboration across geographies and cross-functional teams to build internal support, report on business progress, and accomplish business goals and objectives.
  15. Up to 40% travel related to customer fieldwork, tradeshows/courses, corporate accounts meetings, and sales/marketing events.
  16. Conduct business and maintain relationships according to Ambu's standards and values.
  17. Additional ad hoc duties, as needed.
Qualifications /Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Marketing or related field, MBA a plus.

Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in Healthcare Marketing, preferably in Medical Devices.

Experience in Endoscopy Systems, Imaging/Displays, OR Technologies, EMR/EHR/PACS a plus.

Excellent written, verbal and presentation communication skills.

Ability to effectively build relationships and interface globally with cross functional partners.

Strong project and program management skills.

Leader of People - develops team members, utilizes team members to the best of their ability and creates a positive team environment.

Ability to influence key stakeholders and partners at all levels of the organization.

Effectively build and maintain relationships with peers and colleagues across organizational levels and with the executive team - essential to this cross-functional heavy role.

Experience with design, evaluation, validation of marketing strategies and programs.

Consistently and effectively brings ideas, proposals and business cases forward for consideration.

Expertise with Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint and Excel.

Experience with new product development and launches.

Strong organizational and time management skills.

Budget management experience.

Strong ability to comprehend and analyze complex problems for business strategy.

Experience supporting a direct sales force.
