Job Summary

Optimum Energy LLC is seeking a highly skilled Energy Engineer to join our team as a Building Automation Systems Specialist. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for providing pre- and post-sales engineering services, including site assessment, financial analysis, detailed engineering site analysis, implementation, and quality assurance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough site assessments of Building Automation Systems (BAS), HVAC equipment, configurations, and other details to generate data and inputs for modeling and analysis.
  • Present site analysis and estimates to customer technical teams.
  • Perform energy modeling and savings estimates.
  • Implement Retro-Commissioning scope of work, including optimization of HVAC control systems and functional testing of equipment.
  • Design energy efficiency improvements and BAS upgrades.
  • Participate in project quality assurance and control.
  • Participate in project meetings and develop reports for customers on HVAC system performance.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot BAS performance.
Requirements
  • 4-year Mechanical Engineering degree.
  • 5-10 years of experience in HVAC/BAS.
  • Experience in the energy efficiency field.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including running and creating functions, pivot tables, trend analysis, charts, and regressions.
  • Proficient in other MS Office Software tools, including Visio, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Excellent communication and customer satisfaction skills.
  • Ability to present technical solutions to customers and partners.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Detailed knowledge of Building Automation Systems, including Siemens, Johnson Controls, Schneider, etc.
  • Certified Energy Manager (C.E.M)
  • Certified Measurement & Verification Professional (C.M.V.P)
  • Professional Engineer (P.E)
  • Engineer in Training (E.IT)
  • LEED AP
  • LEED AP BD&C
  • Building Energy Modeling Professional (B.E.M.P)

Salary Pay Range: $85,000 - $110,000 annually
