Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our Building Engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conceptualizing design approaches, planning and conducting engineering work, and collaborating with clients and project teams to deliver high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement design approaches for major phases of large projects.
  • Plan, schedule, and conduct mechanical engineering work, including research and development.
  • Interpret and revise engineering documents, ensuring compliance with codes and regulations.
  • Conceive and plan research in complex problem areas, identifying innovative solutions.
  • Prepare engineered plans, technical specifications, and contract documents, and assist with estimates.
  • Participate in contract bidding and administration, observing project progress and ensuring timely completion.
  • Collaborate with clients, contractors, and project teams to coordinate projects and communicate project status.
  • Assist in resolving complex problems, such as conflicting design requirements and unsuitability of conventional materials.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering and a minimum of 12 years of job-related experience.
  • P.E. licensure.
  • Healthcare-related building design experience.
  • Knowledge of engineering and architectural principles, practices, and techniques.
  • Knowledge of codes and regulations.
  • Skilled with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong team player.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain excellent interpersonal relationships.
  • Ability to travel to job sites as needed.
  • Valid Driver License required.
