Key Responsibilities

  • Acts as a strategic advisor to the District Leadership Team, facilitating the establishment of goals and objectives while setting procedures to achieve them through the development of administrative priorities.
  • Drafts and implements policies and procedures, ensuring the realization of overall goals and objectives for Support Services across the offices.
  • Provides guidance and support to the District Manager and Associate District Manager in conducting organizational, financial, and workload analyses.
  • Manages BLM property, ensuring proper inventory, maintenance, storage, and surplus management in compliance with regulations.
  • Oversees the technical and administrative supervision of various professional and clerical positions to fulfill the organization's mission.
  • Plans and assigns work to subordinates, develops performance standards, and evaluates their performance.
  • Conducts interviews for prospective candidates, recommends appointments, promotions, or assignments, and addresses employee complaints and minor disciplinary issues.
  • Collaborates with the Contracting Officer and procurement authorities to ensure the technical accuracy of the procurement program.
  • Coordinates and guides the implementation of the District budget, working closely with the Budget Analyst to ensure compliance with allocations, policies, and legal requirements.
  • Provides support and administration for human resources programs within the District.
  • Advises on personnel processes and oversees the orientation and training of new employees, as well as coordinating developmental and mandatory training programs.
