Position Overview
As a vital member of the Human Resources Operations team, the Senior HR Coordinator will deliver comprehensive human resources support and advisory services to department leaders, supervisors, and staff. This role encompasses a variety of responsibilities including:

Key Responsibilities
  1. General HR Consultation: Offer guidance to employees and management on HR matters, including university policies, employee relations, compensation, training, recruitment, and benefits. Facilitate employee engagement initiatives through the development of departmental action plans.
  2. Employment Processes: Collaborate with managers to gather necessary information for job postings and oversee the entire recruitment process. Ensure proper onboarding of new hires and accurate data entry in the HR system.
  3. Time Management: Work closely with the HR team to ensure compliance with relevant policies and procedures, including adherence to labor laws. Coordinate initial departmental efforts related to Family Medical Leave (FMLA) and short-term disability.
  4. Employee Relations: Assist in collecting sensitive information for HR matters, conduct exit interviews, and address attendance issues.
  5. Performance Management: Track performance management activities such as annual reviews and goal-setting.
  6. Payroll and Compensation: Manage the annual merit review process, assist with merit increases, and ensure accurate documentation for compensation changes. Process all necessary HR transactions and resolve payroll discrepancies.
  7. Additional Duties: Undertake other responsibilities and projects as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Minimum: Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field with three years of relevant experience.
  • Preferred: Project management skills, client service orientation, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
