Human Resources Coordinator

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to provide professional human resources services and consultation for all employees at Share Our Strength.

About the Role
  • Provide administrative support to the HR team, including benefits administration, recruitment, new hire onboarding, and policy development.
  • Process new hire paperwork, create new hire correspondence, and coordinate orientations.
  • Maintain HR department and employee files, as well as provide scheduling support to the Chief People Officer and HR team.
  • Process monthly invoices and provide support to the Benefits Manager in benefits administration.
  • Maintain periodic reports and queries using reporting tools, and assist with recruitment processes, including posting positions and generating offer letters.
  • Coordinate internal and external trainings, and support the organization's internship program.
  • Maintain new hire paperwork for AmeriCorps staff, create welcome packets, and facilitate timely mailing of items to staff.
  • Collaborate with HR to maintain compliance with federal and state employment regulations, and enter and maintain employee information in the HRIS system.
  • Coordinate the Buddy Program and partner with colleagues to support Share Our Strength's work in diversity and inclusion.
Key Responsibilities

Requirements
  • 1-2 years of human resources or administrative experience.
  • Strong skills in MS Office suite, with experience in HRIS systems a plus.
  • Working knowledge of employment laws and HR processes, with a proven interest in learning more about and growing within the HR field.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Clear and effective written and oral communication skills, with excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of emotional intelligence and judgment.
  • Interest in food justice, anti-hunger, and/or anti-poverty issues.
