Mental Health Clinician

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Mental Health Clinician to join our team at Volunteers of America Massachusetts. As a key member of our outpatient care team, you will provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions to individuals struggling with substance use disorders and related mental health issues.
Job SummaryThe Mental Health Clinician will work in a hybrid role, splitting time between in-office sessions at our Taunton clinic and telehealth sessions from home. This role requires a strong commitment to delivering high-quality care, collaborating with colleagues, and contributing to a positive work environment.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct individual, couples, family, and group therapy sessions with clients, maintaining an active caseload of 30 hours per week.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, focusing on mental health, substance use, and co-occurring symptoms.
- Participate in weekly individual and group clinical supervision, as well as staff meetings, to ensure ongoing professional growth and development.
- Collaborate with the integrated services care team to provide a whole-person health approach, enhancing client experiences and outcomes.
- Serve as part of the crisis team, providing crisis intervention services, brief supportive psychotherapy, and timely assessments to triage and refer clients to appropriate providers.
- Master's degree in mental health counseling, social work, psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution, with a focus on mental health counseling.
- Active licensure in Massachusetts (LMHC, LICSW, or LADCI) or eligibility for licensure by a specified timeline.
- At least one year of experience working with clients diagnosed with substance use disorders, mental health disorders, and co-occurring disorders.
- Experience working with diverse populations, including various ages and diagnoses.
- Knowledge of trauma-informed and harm reduction philosophies, as well as safety/risk assessment skills for high-risk populations.
- Proficiency in using electronic medical record systems.
