Overview of the Position

Quanta Services

The Project Management Associate will provide assistance and support to the Project Manager (PM) in various project-related tasks as assigned, ensuring follow-up on deliverables and collaborating closely with the PM. Responsibilities may involve supporting multiple projects simultaneously. When not engaged in project-specific activities, the Associate will contribute to other project and proposal initiatives or may rotate through various operational support teams.

Compensation:

This is a salaried position. The compensation range is $55,000-$85,000, which may vary based on location, skills, and experience.

Location and Travel Requirements: This role is based in a designated location with travel required to project sites as necessary. Upon completion of the current project, the position may transition to a different base location with travel to various project sites across the region.

Key Responsibilities


• Assist the PM in developing the initial project timeline in collaboration with engineering, estimating, project controls, procurement, and construction management teams.

• Engage in value engineering and constructability assessments.

• Collaborate with procurement to create subcontractor and vendor scopes of work and schedule exhibits for PM review prior to processing.

• Work alongside the Health and Safety Manager on all safety-related matters, including the development and implementation of project-specific safety plans, incident reporting, and supporting incident investigations.

• Support the PM with project timelines and assist in preparing monthly project review reports for the project management team and senior leadership.

• Provide constructive feedback to enhance the quality of all technical, commercial, and administrative project deliverables.

• Assist in the procurement of purchase orders and subcontract packages.

• Monitor the overall progress of design, procurement, and construction activities.

• Facilitate project close-out and warranty administration.

• Conduct post-construction cost reviews and reporting, and participate in lessons learned sessions.

• Perform additional duties as assigned by the PM, including acting as PM when necessary and deemed qualified.

• Adhere to internal standards, policies, and procedures.

• Manage field document control.

• Generate daily reports.

• Capture progress photographs.

• Participate in value engineering and constructability assessments.

Qualifications

Required:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field; equivalent work experience or a combination of work and education may be considered. Experience in DB/EPC projects within the power delivery sector; must demonstrate a thorough understanding of materials, methods, and equipment used in transmission, distribution, and substation operations. Ability to manage multiple projects while ensuring compliance with laws and regulations. Proficient in project management software, with Primavera 6 preferred. Familiarity with technology and strong computer skills (Microsoft Office and other relevant software). Management and supervisory capabilities. High level of integrity; honesty and ethical behavior are essential. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Valid, active driver's license.
