Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Content Operations Manager to join our team at ESPN. As a key member of our Content division, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day workforce planning and business operations of our Content division.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage direct reports and provide objective feedback and coaching on performance.
  • Oversee personnel and business operations for aspects of ESPN's Content division, including management of internal and external workforce.
  • Develop systematic processes for engaging resources and educate others on subject matter.
  • Manage resource allocation process to ensure compliance with business needs and guidelines.
  • Track and analyze data to find efficiencies and inform stakeholders.
  • Evaluate and analyze content and business scenarios and develop plans to support business initiatives.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 8 years of management, business, personnel, production, logistical, and/or operations experience in a large market or at the network level.
  • Strong interpersonal and managerial skills, including ability to provide feedback and guide others.
  • Advanced organizational skills, including budgeting time and prioritizing workload.
  • Excellent communication skills, including clear and concise communication and ability to manage high-volume email and phone traffic.
  • Ability to take initiative and perform independently with minimal guidance from management.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledgeable about the sports content landscape and extensive knowledge of production of studio shows, remote events, digital, and/or packaged content.
  • Advanced understanding of reporting and analytics of resources and data, including ability to identify and communicate complex trends and metrics.
  • Advanced analytical and technical critical thinking/problem solving skills.
Education

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent years of experience from Vocational School, or in Production, Journalism, Business, or related field.
