As a vital member of our expanding Water Design Center, you will spearhead a project team dedicated to developing structural designs for water and wastewater treatment facilities, including pump stations, lift stations, and other essential infrastructure. Your role will encompass structural layout, design calculations, collaboration with other BIM structural designers, and conducting quality reviews. Occasional travel may be required for site assessments and construction support.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Lead a project team in creating structural designs for clarifiers, process basins, filters, administrative buildings, pump stations, lift stations, tanks, vaults, retaining walls, and other structures related to water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
  • Perform structural design calculations for concrete, steel, and masonry.
  • Oversee the creation of construction drawings and 3D models.
  • Coordinate with geotechnical subconsultants.
  • Support ongoing construction projects.
  • Assist the Structural Team Leader in managing and mentoring teams, coordinating schedules, monitoring budgets, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality work products that meet our standards.

Your Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in civil or structural engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
  • A minimum of five years of structural design experience.
  • Professional Engineer Licensure (PE).
  • Proficiency in structural engineering design involving concrete, masonry, and structural steel.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in civil or structural engineering.
  • Registered Structural Engineer (SE).
  • Familiarity with the structural complexities of water and wastewater treatment equipment and water-bearing structures.
  • Experience with Bluebeam software.
  • Knowledge of Autodesk Revit.
  • Experience collaborating with a diverse team of professionals across various disciplines.
  • Active involvement in local professional organizations.
