About the Role

American Welding & Gas, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Specialty Gas Laboratory Technician to join our team in Indianapolis, IN.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct tests and prepare documentation for specialty gas cylinders in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Apply quality control procedures to samples submitted for approval.
  • Perform routine analytical work on medical and specialty gases using various types of analytical equipment, including gas chromatographs and process analyzers.

Requirements
  • High School Diploma/GED required.
  • 4-year college degree or similar work experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with gas chromatography and process gas analyzers.
  • 1-3 years of Industrial/Specialty Gas experience preferred.
  • Proficient Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and math (algebra) skills.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure.
  • Ability to handle high-pressure steel and aluminum cylinders with approved equipment.
  • Must be able to process detail-oriented tasks with high reliability.
