Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist to join our team at Penn Medicine Valley Forge. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing ultrasound examinations, coordinating patient testing services, and ensuring the highest quality of care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate ultrasound units to perform diagnostic examinations
  • Prepare and maintain the cleanliness of ultrasound rooms
  • Interview and screen patients prior to examinations, explaining procedures and ensuring patient comfort
  • Coordinate and supervise patient testing services, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families through telephone consultations, office visits, and hospital visits
  • Assist in research projects as requested by the Division
  • Communicate equipment problems and image quality issues
  • Package and send genetic specimens
Requirements
  • Amer Reg Diag Med Sonographer (ARDMS) certification
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification
  • Certification in Abdomen, OB/GYN, and vascular (RVT) within 1 year of hire
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Graduate of an Accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography School
  • 1+ years' experience in Ultrasonography
