We are seeking a per-diem Ultrasound Radiographer to join our team at Penn Medicine Valley Forge.

Job Summary:

The Ultrasound Radiographer is responsible for performing all Ultrasound examinations, coordinating patient testing services, and supervising a team of healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate Ultrasound units and ensure optimal performance
  • Prepare and maintain ultrasound rooms and equipment
  • Interview and screen patients, explaining procedures and ensuring patient comfort
  • Perform and coordinate patient testing services, ensuring accurate results and efficient workflow
  • Ensure all necessary equipment, supplies, and records are available for patient care
  • Provide education and support to patients, families, and healthcare providers
  • Assist in research projects and contribute to the development of new procedures and concepts
  • Communicate equipment issues and image quality concerns
  • Package and send genetic specimens
  • Perform duties in accordance with Penn Medicine values, policies, and procedures
Credentials and Education:

Amer Reg Diag Med Sonographer (ARDMS) certification is required, along with Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification. Certified in Abdomen, OB/GYN, and vascular (RVT) at time of hire. High School Diploma/GED and graduate of an Accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography School are also required.

1+ years' experience in Ultrasonography is preferred.
