Ultrasound Radiographer Job Summary

As an Ultrasound Radiographer, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of ultrasound examinations, coordinating patient testing services, and ensuring the highest quality of care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment to ensure optimal performance and image quality.
  • Prepare and maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to strict safety and hygiene protocols.
  • Interview and screen patients, explaining procedures and addressing any concerns or questions.
  • Perform and coordinate patient testing services, ensuring accurate and timely results.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to educate patients and families on ultrasound procedures and results.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest medical imaging technologies and techniques, participating in ongoing education and training.
  • Contribute to research projects and quality improvement initiatives, enhancing patient care and outcomes.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams, ensuring seamless care coordination.

Credentials and Education:

  • American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) certification.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
  • Certification in Abdomen, OB/GYN, and Vascular (RVT) within one year of hire.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.
