Job Description:

As a Pharmacy Technician at Walgreens, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and customer service. Our pharmacy technicians are the face of our company, interacting with customers and developing strong relationships with our patients.

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Pharmacy Technician. In this role, you will assist pharmacists in the practice of pharmacy, including filling prescriptions, processing transactions, and providing customer service.

As a Pharmacy Technician, you will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment and develop your skills in a variety of areas, including pharmacy operations, customer service, and inventory management.

We offer a comprehensive training program for our Pharmacy Technicians, which includes on-the-job training and certification through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB). Our goal is to provide our technicians with the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in their roles and advance their careers.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist pharmacists in the practice of pharmacy, including filling prescriptions and processing transactions
  • Provide exceptional customer service and develop strong relationships with patients
  • Assist with inventory management, including ordering and stocking pharmaceuticals
  • Participate in the training and development of new Pharmacy Technicians
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Pharmacy Manager or Staff Pharmacist
Requirements:
  • Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English
  • Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment
  • Prefer prior work experience with Walgreens
  • Prefer good math skills and computer skills
  • Prefer knowledge of store inventory control and PTCB certification
