Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) presents an exciting opportunity for a Senior-Level Project Management Specialist (4) to become an integral part of the International Government Heads of State (IGHOS) team.

The IGHOS team is focused on commercial derivative aircraft, catering to a diverse range of global customers. The Project Management Specialist will be responsible for driving daily operations, ensuring effective coordination, and maintaining clear communication across all necessary functions from the initial program bidding phase through to final delivery and ongoing customer support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develops, coordinates, and maintains comprehensive plans and schedules for complex projects and programs, ensuring alignment with industry best practices.
  • Oversees team performance, collaborating with various functions to establish metrics, operational rhythms, and deliverable management in support of both new business and existing contracts.
  • Conducts studies and analyses (trend, variance, impact), prepares reports, performs risk assessments, and engages in planning efforts to identify impacts and constraints related to product development and program initiatives.
  • Identifies potential risks and opportunities, formulates mitigation strategies, and refines business cases accordingly.
  • Establishes lead time requirements and ensures effective integration of project/program plans, schedules, and change management processes.
  • Acts as the primary point of contact for projects, establishing key stakeholder requirements and project objectives.
  • Directs all phases of projects or subsystems from inception to completion, maintaining all program baselines.
  • Coordinates commitments with both internal and external stakeholders to achieve strategic goals.
  • Engages with customer stakeholders to develop requirements and strategies while fostering positive relationships.

Work Environment:

This position requires 100% onsite work. The selected candidate will be expected to work at one of the designated locations.

Security Clearance:

This role necessitates the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance, which requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance will be required post-start.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in program or project management.
  • At least 5 years' experience in the aerospace and defense sector.
  • Proven experience with both international and U.S.-based customers.
  • Familiarity with foreign military sales and direct commercial sales.
  • Experience in development programs.
  • Expertise in establishing and maintaining program baselines (cost, schedule, requirements, etc.).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a cross-functional work environment.
  • Background in managing U.S. Government projects.
  • Knowledge of military aircraft sustainment and post-production modifications.
  • Strong skills in execution, communication, and collaboration.
  • Self-motivated with excellent time management abilities to meet deadlines effectively.

Education/Experience:

Typically, education and experience are acquired through advanced education (e.g., Bachelor) and usually 10 or more years of related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Relocation:

Travel Requirements:

This position may require travel up to 20% of the time.
