Position Summary:

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is offering a remarkable opportunity for a Senior-Level Project Management Expert to become a vital member of the International Government Heads of State (IGHOS) team.

The IGHOS team is responsible for managing commercial derivative aircraft projects that serve clients globally. The Project Management Expert will oversee daily operations, ensuring effective coordination and communication across all necessary functions from initial program bidding to final delivery and ongoing customer support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development, coordination, integration, analysis, and maintenance of comprehensive plans and schedules for complex projects and programs.
  • Ensure overall team performance by collaborating with various functions to establish metrics, operating rhythms, and deliverables management.
  • Conduct studies and analyses, including trend assessments and risk evaluations, to identify impacts and constraints related to product development and program initiatives.
  • Identify potential risks and opportunities, formulate mitigation strategies, and refine business cases accordingly.
  • Establish lead time requirements for project execution.
  • Facilitate the integration of project plans, schedules, and change management processes in alignment with industry best practices.
  • Act as the primary contact for projects, establishing key stakeholder requirements and objectives.
  • Oversee all phases of projects or subsystems from inception to completion, maintaining all program baselines.
  • Coordinate commitments with both internal and external stakeholders to fulfill strategic objectives.
  • Engage with customer stakeholders to develop requirements and maintain positive relationships.

Work Environment:

This position requires full-time onsite work. The selected candidate will be expected to work at one of the designated locations.

Security Clearance:

This role necessitates the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance, which requires U.S. Citizenship.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher.
  • 5+ years of experience in program or project management.
  • 5+ years of experience in the aerospace and defense sector.
  • Experience working with international and U.S.-based clients.
  • Familiarity with foreign military sales and direct commercial sales.
  • Experience in development programs.
  • Proven track record in establishing and maintaining program baselines (cost, schedule, requirements, etc.).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a cross-functional work environment.
  • Experience managing U.S. Government projects.
  • Knowledge of military aircraft sustainment and post-production modifications.
  • Strong skills in execution, communication, and collaboration.
  • Self-motivated with excellent time management abilities to meet deadlines.

Typical Education/Experience:

Education and experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g., Bachelor's) and usually 10 or more years of related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Travel Requirements:

This position may involve travel up to 20% of the time.
